dc.description.abstract Extramedullary haematopoiesis (EMH) is a rare cause of spinal cord compression. When a patient with a haematological disorder that causes chronic anaemia (particularly thalassaemia) presents with neurological deficits referable to the spine, EMH with paraspinal masses should be considered and imaging planned appropriately. en_US
