dc.descriptionClinical history : A 34 year old male with a long history of rhumatoid arthritis with attack of small and large wrists.
dc.descriptionThe patient then had a gastrectomy for stomach ulceration after steroid therapy and developed dyspnea which resulted in the diagnosis of a large right pleural effusion with aortic insuffiency.
dc.descriptionAutopsy findings : 1. Rhumatoid arthritis.
dc.description2. Rhumatoid aortitis with rhumatoid valvitis of the aortic valve.
dc.description3. Aortic valve insuffiency with left ventricular hypertrophy and dilation.
dc.description4. Rhumatoid nodules in the pericardium.
dc.description5. Pericardial effusion with chronic tamponade.
