Description
Clinical history : An 11 year old female with severe frontal headache and a history of meningitis since the age of 5 was diagnosed with a optic atrophy and hydrocephalus.
A ventricular shunt operation was done but the patient diad shortly after the surgery.
Autopsy findings : 1. Old chronic basal leptomeningitis with fibrotic closure of the foraman of Lushka and Magendie.
2. Pronunced hydrocephalus.
Diagnosis: Fibrotic closure of the foramen of Luschka and Magendie.
Secondary to meningitis and hydrocephalus
