    Tjibaou Cultural Centre, Noumèa, New Caledonia, designed by Renzo Piano, 1998 pays tribute to the huts of the local Kanak people.     Viaduc de Millau, France

    Currently the highest bridge in the world, the Millau Viaduct stretches over the river Tarn, connecting France with Spain.
