In Memoriam. Michael Edward James: ? - 04 April 2022

Abstract

Mike died on the 4th of April 2022, having suffered several setbacks with his health. He set up a practice in Middelburg in 1965 where he remained until his retirement. In 2011, after having spent 47 years in Middelburg, he and his wife, Brenda, moved to KZN to be closer to family. Mike was a hardworking vet who was held in high regard by farmers and pet owners alike. He was also fun to be with having been blessed with a great sense of humour. He was an avid rugby fan, played squash and loved canoeing, having completed many canoe marathons. His favourite place was the bushveld where he, his family and friends had many wonderful times. He is survived by his wife, Brenda and four children, Bronwyn, David (also a vet), Evan and Ivor.
