Drawings by Sir Herbert Baker of La Dauphine, an H-shaped Cape Dutch homestead which belonged to the Malherbe family. At both the front and back are neoclassical gables with Baroque wings and scrolls. On the sides are straight gables topped with Baroque fleurs.
