Abstract:

Prof Johannes du Plessis (1868-1935), was a theologian, traveller, missionary and writer. His book collection was purchased by the University in 1939 and is split into an Africana collection, housed in our Africana section and with the call number prefix ZPA; and a Theology collection, housed in Special Collections with the call number prefix ZP. This finding aid comprises both collections.
