Wall-layer model for large eddy simulation (les) of suspended sediment transport (sst) in a lab-scale turbulent open channel flow
In this study, a wall layer model under the equilibrium
assumption and in the large eddy simulation (LES) framework
is applied to simulate the suspension of the sand particles in a
turbulent open channel flow of water. Smagorinsky model in
the Euler-Euler model, which was developed in the LESCOAST
code [1], is used to solve the subgrid-scale (SGS)
stresses.
