dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this paper is primarily to explore and illustrate the concepts and possible application areas of expert system technology, as well as the characteristics and features of some expert system development software, through the use of illustrative examples. The examples were chosen and designed with this purpose in mind and should therefore in no way be seen as fully fledged expert systems with immediate practical application. The first example is a typical classification application while the second example illustrates a diagnostic and repair recommendation application. | en |
