Description:

Postcard size colour photograph English: Edoardo Villa was born in Bergamo, Italy, in 1915. He studied at the Scuola D'Arte Fontoni and came to South Africa during the Second World War. He donated several of his works to the University of Pretoria and the Edoardo Villa Museum on the main campus was opened in 1995. The collection of walls or reliefs were donated to the university by the Lupini family. Afrikaans: Edoardo Villa is in Bergamo, Italië, in 1915 gebore. Hy studeer aan die Scuola D'Arte Andrea Fontoni en kom na Suid-Afrika gedurende die Tweede Wêreldoorlog. Verskeie van sy werke is aan die Universiteit van Pretoria geskenk en die Edoardo Villa museum in in 1995 op die hoofkampus geopen. Die versameling van "mure" of reliëfs is deur die Lupini familie aan die universiteit geskenk.
