dc.description.abstract | It is human nature to look for a simple solution to a difficult problem. I have been trying to find such an answer to a question that vexes me:Would it be possible for a law faculty to establish which applicants are most likely to succeed in their LLB studies; that is, what criteria could be developed to predict which applicants would obtain their LLB degrees in the minimum time (four years)? In a time of diminishing state subsidies and pressure on universities to improve the pass rate or ‘throughput’ rate of students, it seems prudent to attempt to answer this question. | en |
