Shortcomings of the University

Abstract

At the opening of the University year, held at Pretoria's City Hall, Mr. G. Moerdyk gave an outline of the University's African policy - Africa was to become the field for expanding research activities. The rector, Mr. C.F. Schmidt made an appeal for greater public financial support in an effort to improve the University's poor facilities. Black and white photos of Gerard Moerdijk and mr Schmidt are included.
