Abstract:

Mr JA van Tilburg bequeathed his "prentenkabinet" of over 10 000 graphic works to the University of Pretoria.

The artist Adrianus Miolee (1879-1961) was born in Vlissingen and worked in Haarlem.

Description:

A dry needle etching of a stream flowing through a wooded area in the garden of an old convent. Signed by artist bottom right in pencil, with monogram "AM" and inscribed "Eigendruk", titled on back.
