Abstract:

Mr JA van Tilburg bequeathed his "prentenkabinet" of over 10 000 graphic works to the University of Pretoria.

Dry needle etching of two wagons standing underneath a bridge that was published by the 'Vereeniging tot Bevordering van Beeldende Kunsten' in 1946. Jack Hewer (1898-1968) was an illustrator for books and was a British artist; He travelled Europe in the 1940s where he exhibited in Amsterdam in 1946.
