Abstract:

The General Assembly of the Nederduitsch Hervormde Kerk decided in 1894 to correspond with the other churches in view of reaching an agreement on the matter "exchange of pulpits" between the churches. The background and meaning of this decision for the Nederduitsch Hervormde Kerk in its relation to the other churches is discussed.
