Moses by die brandende braambos
Van Zyl, A.H.; University of Pretoria. Dept. of Old Testament Exegesis and Theology (Section B)
As a result of the application of the so-called "literar-kritische", "Formgeschichtliche" and "traditionsgeschichtliche" methods, which are not based on an objective approach to the Books of the Old Testament, the person of Moses has been reduced to a mere skeleton. Doubt has been thrown on the Biblical tradition concerning Moses, and the historical events regarding the exodus have been ascribed to various traditions which had only been knit together at a much later stage.
