Abstract
We present a tool for the visualization of distributed computations. Special attention is payed to certain distributed algorithms which have been coded as rewriting systems. In order to study the behaviour of algorithms and tool, several experiments have been performed the results of which are presented and discussed. Finally, some important properties of our tool are described and explained. A release of the tool is available to the public.
Description
This item is a rarity. The proceedings booklet of MFI'01 at the University of Toulouse was only photo-copied and handed out to the participants at the event in the year 2001. Hardly any of those original photo-copied proceedings-booklets exist any more today, however the organizer of that event still preserved the digital files privately in his personal storage. To date (2013) those MFI'01 proceedings, as a whole, cannot be found on the Internet, and it took much effort to search and recover this PS-file which is now republished here by UPSpace.
