Evaluation of the Farmer Support Programme : sub-assignment III (Venda, Lebowa and KaNgwane). Final report on the agricultural economic analysis

Abstract

This report is the culmination of a three year evaluation process (1991-1993) of the implementation of farmer support programmes in selected target areas of Venda, Lebowa and KaNgwane. It presents the findings of the three phases of the evaluation process through discussion and comparison of household surveys,characteristics of households likely to participate in the FSP, efficiency of production and concludes with recommendations to improve the interaction and participation of the different role players in the programme.
